CARDINIA Agrade’s Chris Remy devastated Emerald’s bats on Saturday, taking eight wickets in a superb bowling spell.
Cardinia visited the Bombers with Mark Cooper winning the toss and electing to bowl, opening with spin sensation Dwayne Doig with Chris Remy.
Doig bowled a tight and probing spell, but was unable to take a wicket.
Ryan Kitchin was introduced and bowled well for 1/36 in his first Agrade match of the season.
Adam Hobson (1/39) also bowled tightly; the first run that came from his bowling was a wide to start his eighth over after he bowled seven consecutive maidens.
Fifteenyearold Agrade debutante Brady Welsh, also bowled well without luck.
Remy returned for a second spell and decimated the Bombers, taking 8/52 in a superb spell of pace bowling.
He took 5/12 in four overs to rip the heart out of the Emerald middle order and take his career best figures.
Emerald finished the day with 248 on the board.

It was a run fest as Cardinia had Emerald chasing leather to all corners of the Cardinia Recreation Reserve.
Every batsmen got amongst the runs with Stuart Williams (39), Jamie Glen (34), new player Brad Remy (46), Captain Matt Adlam (45 not out) and Ryan DeReus got (17 not out).
Brad Goodman top scored for the Bulls with 82 in the total of 315.
With a strong bowling attack, Cardinia is favoured to head into the Christmas break with four wins.

Playing KilcundaBass on a dry and baron Hobson oval, the visitors won the toss and elected to bat.
Darren Aurisch effectively opened the bowling and honed his radar in at the stumps, taking 1/39 from 20 overs.
Matt Waixel was economical taking 2/12 with one of those being a brilliant catch down the legside to ‘keeper Daniel Cairns.
The run rate was low and captain Matthew Argoon introduced himself into the attack to try and entice the batsmen to play some strokes. He took 2/41 including the key wicket of opener Shaun Lucas.
Paceman Matt Hobson then cleaned up the tail with 4/32 from eight overs of speed and accuracy.
KilcundaBass was all out for 180. Facing one over, Cardinia is 0/9.

A majestic 106 from Gary Quinlan has guided Cardinia to 6/298 on the first day’s play against Devon Meadows at Junction Village.
Quinlan and fellow veteran Jeff Bailey put on a club record of 159 for the first wicket.
Bailey was out caught behind for 78 and Quinlan went on to score his first century in 30 years of cricket.
On 95, Quinlan smashed a towering six to bring up his maiden century and out a short time later, walking from the field to loud applause.
Craig Bell (31), Matt Ryan (18) and Chris Lemmon (31 not out) also batted well in the Bulls’ total of 298.

Cardinia went down on Saturday to an impressive Lang Lang outfit.
Cardinia won the toss and elected to bat first. Nat Wade smashed 26 retired and Phil Strahan also retired on 25. Ricky Campbell also did well scoring a fine 18.
Cardinia made 119 and then Lang Lang made 4/151.
Nat Wade (1/15), Ricky Campbell (1/18) bowled well, however it wasn’t enough to restrict the Tigers. Dylan Mitchell and Evan Webster took a wicket each.

Playing Tooradin, the Bulls could only mange to take four wickets in the Gulls’ total of 119.
Aiden Nooy did the best, taking 2/10 and Bradey Welsh took 1/12. Nooy also had his hand in a run out.
The Bulls then chased down the target with ease, passing the total with two overs to spare.
Brad Tanner (16 retired), Glen Easton (23 not out), Travis Welsh (17 not out), Brett Venn (15 retired) and Devlin TraceyShaw made a fine 13 not out.

Playing Clyde, Cardinia restricted the Cougars to 95. Alex Nooy took 2/6 and Doug Linford 2/12, while Trent Wheller got a brilliant runout.
Chasing the total, Alex Nooy, Nick Cairns, Sam Vanderzalm and Elijah Wade all retired and the Bulls finished 3/110 after their allotted overs.
