Rotunda goes ahead in a roundabout way

A ROTUNDA is heading for Upper Beaconsfield in a successful end to months of lobbying.
The rotunda will be installed in Keith Ewenson Park, which is also the setting for the annual Carols by Candlelight.
The Upper Beaconsfield Association was prepared to cover at least half the expenses of a new rotunda, but had not been successful in getting Cardinia Shire Council to kick in the rest.
Council instead offered a rotunda that was not in use — free — and, after an inspection the offer was gratefully accepted.
The setting up of the rotunda is due to begin in a few weeks.
