THE Lang Lang Pastoral Agricultural and Horticultural Association (LLPAHA) has received a $10,000 government grant to help replace the roof on its sheep pavilion.
The Minister for Agriculture Bob Cameron announced the grant on Wednesday, 21 September during a visit to the showgrounds.
Western Port MP Geoff Hilton who said the Lang Lang show was a popular event and a great contributor to the local economy accompanied the minister.
“As well as sheep exhibitions, the shed is also used for netball each weekend, as a drama place for the primary school, and training for the netball club,” Mr Hilton said.
Mr Cameron said he was impressed by the number of people present at the announcement and discussed repairs to the pavilion with show committee members.
He said the grant was part of a series of grants to ensure that rural shows across Victoria would continue to provide an excellent service and maintain a key role in their communities.
The pavilion was built nearly 40 years ago.
