STUDENTS at Berwick Primary School were woodworkers late last term.
Each student made something out of wood and learnt about tools used to work with wood and joining techniques.
Different year levels made something different.
“Students in grade one sawed, sanded, nailed, glued and coloured to create a cute echidna,” grade one teacher Glenda Bertram said.
“They were very pleased with their creations.”
The “woodwork room” project was an extension of the education week theme, “learning by doing, learning for life”.
