GEMBROOK MP Tammy Lobato created some preseason hype when she put three Western Bulldogs adult membership packages up for grabs.
The Western Bulldogs provided two packages for people to be selected from nominations, and Ms Lobato donated a third to be chosen by a lucky draw at the Berwick Junior Football Club training night on Monday, 27 February.
Bulldogs player Damien McCormack came to the Arch Brown Reserve, Berwick, to draw the winner.
He also spoke to the juniors and spent a good deal of his time signing autographs.
Nicole Flanagan, of Berwick, won the Berwick draw.
The community nomination winners were Sue Bester, of Gembrook, and Peter Summers, of Millgrove.
Jan Dekker, of Gembrook, nominated Ms Bester and said she had worked as a volunteer for the Commonwealth Games and this involved an enormous amount of time and energy, plus lots of travel.
“She is also an active member of the Gembrook Primary School where she helps in the classroom, at working bees and sporting events,” she said.
“She has also donated much time and energy to Gembrook Primary School.
“Sue is a lifelong oneeyed Bulldogs supporter who has managed to get her three children to also follow the team.”
Rodney Woods of the WarburtonMillgrove Football Club nominated Mr Summers.
Mr Wood said Peter was a dedicated Bulldogs supporter.
“He has been an active supporter of the WarburtonMillgrove Football Club for many years, including a term as president.
“Three of his sons played footy with Warburton Millgrove and continued their father’s involvement in community events and activities.”
