BEACONSFIELD struggled in the heat at the weekend with only C and Dgrade sides claiming senior wins.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:A GRADE

Defending 196 from last week and with Kooweerup 0/31 overnight, the Tiger bowlers faced a tough challenge to secure a win.
Kooweerup however batted well to reach 295 for its 10 wickets. Jason Dodd toiled well bowling 24 overs to capture his 3/98.
Gus Patti took 2/36 and Don Kerslake got some turn to return the figures of 2/21 off six overs.
Jack Benbow (1/28), Ryan O’Connor (1/22) and Rick Cook (1/15) were the other wicket takers as Luke Sibley used all available bowlers.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:B GRADE

In an even tougher position than Agrade, Beaconsfield looked to defend 126 from day one, with Nyora already reaching 39 without loss. Nyora went on to comfortably pass the target, with the game finishing at 8/194.
Best with the ball for the Tigers were Peter Sofra with 2/17 from 10 overs, Geoff Bliss with 2/29 and Paul Benbow 2/20.
Jarrod William and Travis Turnbull each captured one wicket.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:C GRADE

After dismissing Clyde for 137 on day one, Beaconsfield went on to reach 9/201.
Outstanding with the bat was Dave Lennon who narrowly missed a ton with 98.
Other contributors were Ross Mitchell (17), Matt O’Connor (15), Craig Douglas (18) and Tristan Kerr (12)3

Amassing 4/318 last week, Beaconsfield bowled well to dismiss Clyde for 76 in its first innings.
John Scales did most damage with 3/9. Greg Butler was also very economical with ÂĽ, as was Steve Grindy with 2/7.
Other wicket takers were Jayden Mack (1/31) and Tom Carlyle (1/2).
With a possible outright victory Clyde was sent into bat again and despite some determined bowling finished at 5/147.
Greg Butler and John Scales each captured two wickets, while Steve Grindy took one.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:E GRADE

On a quick ground at Akoonah Park, Beaconsfield was unable to defend its 215 from last Saturday, with Tooradin reaching the impressive total of 391.
Best with the ball was Dave Bruneau with 3/55.
Wayne Holden took 2/12 and Ben Martin 2/46, supported by Brent Andrews, Joe McMaster and Chris Cherry who each took one wicket.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:F GRADE

Batting first, Beaconsfield reached the respectable total of 131.
Reece Suttie retired at 50 and Jarryd Madden provided great support with 40.
Kooweerup was strong in reply, reaching the total in just 16 overs. Returning to Beaconsfield, Steve Curtis returned 2/16, while Jade Osborne (1/41), Nathan Boon (1/20) and Paul Brown (1/32) were the other wicket takers.
