By Jim Mynard
PHOTOGRAPHIC equipment sales manager at Photo Barn Pakenham, Travis Adams, has been chosen as the Young Achiever of the Year in Victoria by The Photo Marketing Association of Australia.
Mr Adams will fly to Sydney to receive his award at the threeday national Photo Marketing Conference.
He will compete against five other Victorian winners for the national title.
If successful, he wins a trip to Las Vegas in February next year to attend the World Photo Marketing Conference, along with a $3000 training seminar in America.
He was one of 11 people from Victoria selected for judging and was notified last week that he had taken out the prestigious award.
The Victorian winners for the past two years have gone on to win the national title.
Candidates are nominated by their employers or industry peers.
“We were delighted to nominate Travis and we are sure he will do well in the national judging,” store owner Darren Spargo said.
“He is only 21 and what an achievement to receive so early in his career.”
