THE Monash University Faculty of Business and Economics at Berwick has this year been offering an enhancement program for VCE student.
The program allows students to complete two semester subjects of university studies while finishing their last year of secondary school.
The subject they undertake is recognised as one of the subjects they complete doing their VCE.
The students attend weekly classes at the university and at the same time use other facilities and also get a feel for life on the campus.
Accounting lecturer Martin Samy said several students studied accounting at the Berwick campus.
Dr Samy said they attended from St Francis Xavier College in Beaconsfield, Dandenong High School, and Cranbourne Secondary College.
“These students have all achieved excellent results. I am very happy with their results.
“Natasha Smith achieved excellent results with high distinctions in both the subjects and has been nominated to receive an award from Monash University.
“The students should be very proud of themselves considering how much work and commitment they have put in, to do well in their studies in 2005,” he said.
