THERE was plenty of action in the under17 game between PUT and the Beacy Bandits with local young gun Chris Smith scoring 58.
Another highlight of the highclass match was Bandits’ bowler Tom Warburton claiming an allbowled hattrick ending with figures of 4/28 from seven overs.
Nar Nar GoonMaryknoll bowler Travis Simpkin also gained a highly praised hattrick against Emerald Red and his fine figures of 5/31 from eight overs made him the under17 bowler of the day.
The top scorer in this grade level was Jack Vanzet from KilcundaBass who hit 64.
Other under17 players who scored 50 or more were Sam Jenkins (Lang Lang), Nick Miles (Clyde) and Ricky Campbell (Cardinia).

Many under15 players scored in excess of 30 runs on Saturday, with KilcundaBass’ Owen Milton registering an undefeated 41.
The over30’s list included John Avard and B. Riley (Clyde), Arthur Churchill (Devon Meadows), A. Alenson (Emerald Black), James Parnell (PUT Yabbies) and Tom Black and Nathan Tamby (PUT Golds).
Catani’s Liam Keily snared his maiden hattrick while Lachie Groh (Upper Beaconsfield), Jason Pongracic (Merinda Park) and Ben Martin (Beaconsfield Eagles) all captured three wickets for less than ten runs.

Jason Pongracic displayed his versatility by reaching the retirement score of 30 on Friday night.
Other players to achieve under13 retirement scores were Taylor Joyce, Jayden Joyce and Jackson Hogan (Upper Beacy Reds), C. Benedek, B. Hussey, A. Northeast and A. Lay (Devon Meadows), W. Haines (Beacy Tigers), W. Ladner and A. Strong, (Emerald Bushrangers), D. Ginkel and C. Ginkel (KilcundaBass), R. Burns (Officer), and Bryce Henzen, Dylan McClaren and James Canty (Nar Nar Goon Reds).
The top scorer in under13 ranks was D. Vanzet from KilcundaBass with 42 notout.
Pakenham gold bowler M. Moxmam’s bowling figures of 3/12 from four overs made him the under13 bowler of the day.
