
PAKENHAM UpperToomuc’s Agrade team was set to chase Officer’s 221 this week.
A GRADE
Pakenham UpperToomuc was left to chase Officer’s total of 221 all out. Shannon Price (3/39) did best with the ball and Chris Buckland and Ben Keane took two wickets apiece.
A disciplined batting display should secure the points.
C GRADE
The Yabbies playing Officer won the toss and decided to bat.
Andy Connor (21) and Matt Crawford (40) consolidated early before Dean Blake (70) and Josh Bardwell (51) flayed the bowling all around the ground.
A middleorder collapse of 4/14 occurred shortly after tea, however Chris Sharpe and Chris Smith righted the ship, making 34 not out and 25 respectively.
After 59.4 overs the Yabbies declared at 8/282 and sent Officer in to face seven overs. The Bullants finished 0/8.
D GRADE
Bowling first, the Yabbies attack struck in the second over and from there a constant flow of wickets followed. Adrian Grey was impressive, claiming 3/14 from five overs, while Frank Scartuchio picked up 2/8 from his six overs.
Catani innings finished before tea on 127.
The Yabbies’ top order struggled, the only resistance coming from Tyson Goldsack (45) and R. Ford 11.
The Yabbies innings closed at 8/89, requiring 38 runs for victory this week.

Damien Garth won the toss and invited Beaconsfield to bat first at Syme Road.
Firstchange bowler Dave Merrigan got the breakthrough with his third ball, Ben Jarred taking a sharp catch at point. From being 0/22, the Tigers were skittled for 95.
Garth finished another fine spell with 5/20, Luke Gunton also being deadly with 3/7. Michael Wright bowled a wicket maiden.
Pakenham UpperToomuc ended the day 3/37.
F GRADE
Steve Impey and Peter Reid started well for the Yabbies, but a succession of cheap wickets ended when Drew Clarke (47) stopped the rot.
Travis Decker (17) and Chris McKinlay (15) helped Clarke push the score to 8/135.
Tight bowling put the pressure on Cranbourne Meadows, which was all out for 42 to give the Yabbies the points.
Chris Dorman (3/12) again had a good day with the ball and Clarke capped off a fine performance with (2/2). Wily skipper Robert Phillips and McKinlay got one wicket each.
UNDER 16
Pakenham UpperToomuc registered its first win for the season.
Chris Smith retired on 50, Michael Wake made 23 and captain Nick Fromhold declared at 8/97 and bowled 11 overs at Pakenham. The Lions only lost one wicket, but the Yabbies won on first innings by 56 runs.
UNDER 14 BROWN
Merinda Park was chasing 164 to win and got a slow start, losing the first wicket in the 21st over.
All PUT bowlers bowled good line and length, keeping the total to 7/137.
Nine catches were put down and the Browns were lucky to come away with a win.
For the Browns Justin Sharpe took 1/9 off four overs, Jordan DoolanPearse 1/26 off six overs and T. Wade 1/15 off two overs.
UNDER 14 GOLD
Chasing just 66, the Yabbies lost an opener but Tim Kalliday crafted an innings of 18 and, with the help of Wilson Harvey and Tom Black, the Golds passed the total with the loss of three wickets.
Ben Spicer again retired unbeaten on 30 and Harry Leo and Lewis O’Gorman again contributed.
Nathan Donnan batted well on debut.
