BEACONSFIELD’S under-16 Tigers defended their 224 with good bowling for a win against Emerald Red on Saturday.
The Tigers bowled a tight line and length all day restricting the Reds to 3/106 after 40 overs.
Brent Dames bowled a great spell to finish with 2/12 off seven overs and was ably supported by Josh Butler 1/13 off eight overs.

UNDER 16 BANDITS

The Bandits played Emerald Black in a one-day game.
The Bandits won the toss and batted, amassing 4/145 after their 25 overs.
Troy McDermott, Jay Marcon and Brad Pitcher all reached 25 not out.
In reply Emerald Black was kept to 7/107 after its 25 overs.
Brad Pitcher 4/19, Peter Sofra 1/14 and Tom Warburton 1/12 all bowled well for the Bandits.

UNDER 14 SAINTS/TIGERS

The Saints batted this week against the Tigers and after a great start finished the game on 97 chasing the Tigers 113.
Max Adams made a great 20 and was well supported by Brent Colling, 14 not out, and James Rothwell and Reece Suttie both on 13.
Nathan Dooley 3/14, Nicholas Lang 2/2 and James Johnston 1/11 all bowled good spells for the Tigers.
A close game played in good spirit.

UNDER 14 EAGLES

The Eagles batted this week, chasing the Yabbies total of 133 and after a great run chase just fell short on 3/122.
Jordan Andrews, 30, and Lachlan Murphy, 31, batted superbly with Alex Benbow, 20, and Christian Meredith, 13, providing great support.

UNDER 12 SAINTS

The Saints hosted Pakenham Upper at home and batted first making 6/88 after 25 overs.
Best batting for the Saints was Callan Tout, nine, with good support from Andre Ackaoui, seven, and Dylan Schembri, four.
In reply Pakenham Upper finished its innings on 2/92 with Tim Savage finishing with the great figures of 2/2 off two overs.

UNDER 12 EAGLES

The Eagles hosted Gembrook at Akoonah Park.
The Eagles batted first and made 8/47 from their 20 overs with J. Munro 10 not out, M. Hindell 7 not out and S. Walden, 5, all batting well.
In reply the Eagles bowled well to restrict the Gembrook to 7/37.
Great bowling efforts from C. Dickens 2/8, J. Sparkes 2/4 and A. Young 1/11.

SOCIAL NOTES

Milo cricket will finish for the Christmas break on Wednesday, 14 December with a sausage sizzle and games.
All the rest of the juniors will have a family and awards day at the clubrooms on Sunday, 18 December, starting at 11.30am.
All players and families are encouraged to attend.
