Test your motor skills

PAKENHAM Auto Club will hold its first Motorkhana for the year at McGregor Road this Sunday.
Clerk of Course Eddy Eastwood has chosen a selection of tests to challenge participants, and it is planned to run a minimum of eight tests on the day.
There will be categories for juniors aged between 12 and 15, young people between 15 and 18 years old and for adults.
Motorkhana provides a great opportunity to learn car control skills in a safe environment. While some committed competitors compete in a class for specially modified vehicles, the majority of competitors use their everyday road cars.
Competing vehicles do not have to be registered, however they will be subjected to a safety check before being allowed to compete.
The club welcomes junior participants and their parents and invites anyone interested to come along.
Motorkhana participants must be a member of a CAMS-affiliated club and hold an appropriate CAMS licence, both of which can be organised on the day if necessary.
The club has both manual and automatic cars available for junior drivers to use if they do not have access to a car. A small fee will apply for the use of club cars, and they need to be booked prior to the event. Further details and entry forms are available on the club’s website www.pakenhamautoclub.org.au, or by email from Motorkahana@pakenhamautoclub.org.au.
