THE PAKENHAM Camera Club celebrated a year of hard work at the Cardinia Park Hotel last month.
Awards were presented to various members for outstanding photography work.
The presentation was the culmination of what had been a big year for the club, which stewarded the Pakenham Show photography section, hosted the fourth Pakenham National Exhibition at the Cardinia Cultural Centre and took part in inter-club competitions.
As well as meeting once a month, outings were arranged for Marysville, Point Nepean, Phillip Island and Walhalla.
Winners announced at the presentation were: A-grade: winner Samantha Cole-Surjan, runner-up John Fowler, B-grade: winner Mary Broome, runner-up Mark Teague, slide section: winner Alan Mathews, runner-up Donald Grant, winner of the Photographer of the Year trophy and the Club Entrant of the Year: John Fowler; A-grade print of the year: Samantha Cole-Surjan, B-grade Print of the Year: George Fielding; Slide of the Year: John Fowler.
The inaugural Eric Bell trophy for best portrait went to Michael Boyle and the Graeme Montague Special FX trophy was awarded to Sam Cole-Surjan.
The President’s award was presented to Rosie Chatfield in acknowledgment of all the work she put to the club during the year, especially for the National Exhibition.
