UNDER 11s were at home to the Beaconsfield Pups. Our bowling was consistent as the team took seven wickets between them, Chad McDonald took two wickets, both bowled.
Kyle Harrison and Sharna Perkins both showed some great glove work behind the stumps while sharing the wicketkeeping duties.
Corey Joyce was the pick of the fielders with a run out and a good catch.
Unfortunately overthrows again proved costly, allowing the opposition to score a total of 64 runs. When we batted, Andrew McDonald’s score of 16 and Corey Joyce’s eight set up a good start, but with wickets falling regularly we never managed to threaten the target, finishing with just 19 runs.
A disappointing start to the second half of the season, but hard work at practice will turn things around for the next match.
