POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a serious head-on collision in Beaconsfield last week.
A Holden Commodore sedan and a Jeep 4WD collided on Beaconsfield-Emerald Road, near Holm Park Drive, at around 1.30pm on Wednesday 21 January.
Police said a 77-year-old man and 75-year old woman were travelling south in the Jeep when it and the late model dark green sedan struck head-on.
The elderly occupants were both taken to The Alfred hospital with serious injuries.
A 56-year-old Narre Warren man is assisting police with their inquiries.
