YOUNG film-makers are being encouraged to get cracking in the lead up to Emerald’s biggest entertainment festival.
The fourth annual Performing and Visual Arts (PAVE) Festival in Emerald includes an array of activities and events from 13 to 19 April.
PAVE provides opportunities for people of all ages to express themselves through the arts.
The Short Film Festival is an event for youths organised as a collaborative project with Emerald Lions Club.
Film-makers aged 19 and under are invited to enter a short film for the competition. The theme of the Film Festival for 2009 is ‘The Death of Nature’ but entries on other subjects are welcome.
Films need to be about three minutes in length and presented on a DVD by 8 April.
Cash prizes will be awarded for first, second and third places. Entry is $2 per DVD, payable upon submission of the film.
For entry forms and more information about the PAVE Festival visit www.pave.org.au.
