Team helps banish pain

WITH the holiday season mostly over and the new year in full swing, Shane Peace and Skye Andersen at Cardinia Sports and Spinal Clinic feel it’s time to stop putting up with aches and pains.
“About 80 per cent of people suffer from back pain at some stage during their lives and headaches are the most common medical complaint to general practitioners,” they said.
“So don’t let this year be filled with debilitating pain.
“At Cardinia Sports and Spinal Clinic, we deal with a range of conditions including headaches and migraines, back and neck pain, sports injuries and arthritis.”
Dr Peace and Dr Andersen are osteopaths who help ease these conditions through massage, stretching, joint mobilisation and manipulation. Both osteopaths are focused on returning patients to a pain-free state and giving them the tools to keep them healthy via home exercise and stretching programs and postural education.
“In other words, we help you to help yourself,” they said.
Myotherapy and massage are also available at the clinic.
Sara Wyatt primarily treats muscle complaints to loosen and stretch painful areas.
If necessary, she uses a technique known as dry needling, where acupuncture needles are inserted into tight knots within muscles to allow them to release. For an appointment phone receptionist Jacinta on 5941 4157.
Cardinia Sports and Spinal Clinic is at 45A Main Street, Pakenham, or visit the www.pakenham-osteo.com.au website.
