Councillor walks down the aisle

BRETT Owen has become the first councillor to tie the knot while serving Cardinia.
Cr Owen, a serving police officer, wed local girl Jackie Forai on Valentine’s Day at the Police Academy.
The reception was held afterwards at Crown.
Cardinia Shire mayor Bill Pearson congratulated Cr Owen on his nuptials.
“He’s the first councillor to be married while serving on this council to the best of my knowledge,” Cr Pearson said at Monday night’s council meeting.
The newlyweds are honeymooning this week.
