Hose stolen from CFA

IDIOTIC thieves threatened the community of Heath Hill and its surrounds when they stole hoses from the brigade’s only fire truck.
The theft occurred sometime after Sunday 2 February and Wednesday 5 February.
Heath Hill CFA captain Scott Radford said three 38-millimetre canvas hoses along with three quell branches, which are attached to the hoses to increase water pressure, were taken.
“It’s a pointless theft. You can’t use them at home,” he said.
Capt Radford said the theft appeared to have happened while the truck was at the station.
Luckily, the brigade had spare hoses and was able to defend Heath Hill, Lang Lang, Bayles, Tooradin and Drouin on Black Saturday.
They were also a part of a strike team sent to Kinglake on Monday.
Capt Radford pleaded for the thief to return the equipment.
“You don’t usually see this kind of stuff again. But please, leave it out the front of the Heath Hill station,” he said.
