Motocross flies to hard-rock beat

FREESTYLE motocross team Empire FMX will come roaring into the Berwick Showgrounds, bringing one of the world’s fastest growing sports to the hordes of adoring local fans.
The Empire FMX show will see three professional riders performing gravity-defying jumps and amazing tricks in a Crusty Demons style expression session.
The riders will be launching themselves up to 30 metres into the air to a musical backdrop of hard-rock favourites.
Empire FMX is the brainchild of Melbourne boys Daniel Tunnecliffe and Chris Bellion, who decided four years ago that a fully portable ramp set would allow them to take their adrenaline-fuelled show to legions of freestyle motocross fans across Victoria.
Daniel said he was looking forward to getting out and mixing it with the crowd at Akoonah Park.
“We’re always keen for people to come up and see us after the show,” he said.
“We’ve got free posters that we’ll be signing and all sorts of stuff, so it should be fun.”
Empire FMX will be performing on the main arena at 12.30pm, 3.30pm and 7.45pm on Saturday and 12.30pm and 3.30pm on Sunday.
