New life for old movies

COCKATOO Neighbourhood House will host a ’50s and ’60s movie night this month.
The old black and white movie House of Wax will be shown in 3D on Friday 27 February at 7.30pm.
Entry by gold coin donation and soft drinks and popcorn will be available.
On 4 March, the neighbourhood house will celebrate National Women’s Day.
Residents are encouraged to meet at the centre to travel on a community bus to Ashburton where the group will meet other women. The bus leaves at 9.45am and returns at 3pm. Bookings are essential.
