Showing best of region’s

MORE than 100 Gippsland-based food and wine exhibitors will present their wares at the 2009 ‘Jindi Cheese Harvest of Gippsland’ at Lardner Park, Warragul on Sunday 1 March.
This is a great event but what a pity it is being held on the same weekend as the Berwick Show.
The festival provides opportunity for a great outing and a chance for people to taste and buy wines from all over Gippsland.
Cooking demonstrations will be held during the day and chefs will compete in the final of the fifth annual ‘Gippsland Signature Dish’ chef competition.
Noojee chef, John Snelling from The Outpost Retreat, won last year.
‘Hope Farm’ will have organic bread and ‘Peppermint Ridge Farm’ will talk about the use of Australian bush foods and organic gardening.
Wild Dog Winery will have a ‘stomp’ to show how juice was originally pressed from grapes and select the best stomper on the day.
This is a great family day.
