Village shows off- Pauline Gray and George Mondon from Upper Beaconsfield fire brigade collect

MOREthan $2500 has was raised for the bushfire appeal at Upper Beaconsfield Village Festival on Saturday.
The event kicked off at 9am with the fun run and continued throughout the day with performances from bands, activities for the kids, special car and motor bike display.
Festival co-ordinator Liz Grigg said the aim of the festival was to show off the town.
“It allows new and old residents to see what Upper Beaconsfield has to offer,” she said.
Winners of the 6.2 kilometre fun run for under-12s were Matt Hanson and Kathleen Hansen, for 13 to 16 Mitch Lewis and Charlotte Hanson, 17 to 29 Craig Lia and Siobhan Wend, 30 to 39 Chris McDonell and Theresa Santamania, 40 to 49 Christian Dobun and Karen Taunter and for the over 50s Robert Cluterbuck and Marlene Norbury.
