Prairie repertoire

The Prairie Oysters will perform at the Nar Nar Goon Hotel this weekend.
COUNTRY band The Prairie Oysters will hit the stage at the Nar Nar Goon Hotel this Saturday night.
The group, which boasts four-part vocal harmonies, will perform from 8.30pm.
While The Prairie Oysters’ repertoire is predominantly country, they also cross over to southern rock, rockabilly, tex-mex, blues and rock ‘n’ roll.
The band has been generating a following since playing its first gig at the Ferntree Gully Hotel in 2006.
The Prairie Oysters’ popularity was recognised in August 2007 when the Country Music Guild of Australasia awarded them the Les Keats Memorial Award for Most Popular Country Music Band 2006-2007.
There is a $5 cover charge at Saturday’s gig, with all profits going to Nar Nar Goon Primary School.
