COMMUNITY consultations will begin in Labertouche next month as part of the 2009 Victorian Bushfires Royal Commission.
The consultations will take place on Thursday 2 April from 2.30pm to 4pm.
Royal Commissioner Bernard Teague said that the consultations were an “informal opportunity” for those directly impacted by the bushfires to raise with the Royal Commission their views about the key issues.
The Labertouche consultation is one of 23 sessions that will be held in communities hardest hit by the Black Saturday bushfires.
The consultation sessions are open to those Victorians who live or work in the communities directly affected by the bushfires, which the Royal Commission will be visiting. These individuals can call the community consultation line on 1800 842 463 to register.
