Young local bands will entertain the crowds at the Pakenham Showcase on Saturday.
Cardinia Shire Council FReeZA Committee, Electric Productions, has organised performances by Jessica Jade Bruce, Picture Perfect Skys, White Summer, and Press Colour, to draw more young people than ever to this year’s show. Electric Productions is working the Pakenham Show Committee to present events to interest young people. Co-ordinator of youth services Emma Firth says all FReeZA events are fully supervised, free of drugs, alcohol, and smoking, and for young people aged 13 years and over.
She described the Show as a great opportunity for talented young performers to gain experience, entertain and contribute to the vibrancy and appeal of the day.
“It’s also important to attract young people to community events to strengthen their sense of belonging and willingness to contribute to community life.’”
More information about the Pakenham Show is available on the shire website www.cardinia.vic.gov.au, or contact the council on 1300 787 624.
