A SERIES of bushfire relief events will be held in Bayles next month.
A best chick’s ute competition is one of the many attractions at a family-fun event on 5 April.
Bayles CFA will run a ute/four wheel drive show in aid of those living in fire-ravaged Labertouche.
The event includes competitions for best rural ute, best imported ute and best four-wheel drive.
Cost is $5 per category with registrations taken from 8am to 10am.
There is also a whip cracking contest.
The family friendly event on Sunday 5 April features children’s activities, emergency services display, music.
The fundraiser will take place at Bayles CFA station, corner of Kooweerup-Longwarry Road and Ballarto Road, Bayles.
On Saturday 4 April and Sunday 5 April, the Bayles community will run a silent auction, garage sale and a sausage sizzle to help fire-affected families next door to the fire station.
Those fundraisers will run from 9am to 1pm on the Saturday and 10am to 3pm on Sunday.
