ISLAMIC speaker Sherene Hassan is the guest speaker tonight (Wednesday) at a special forum at the City of Casey civic centre.
Organiser of the event, the service club Soroptimist International, in conjunction with Casey Council extends an open invitation to the public to hear Sherene and a panel of prominent women as part of Celebrating Diversity Week.
Sherene is an executive member of the Islamic Council of Victoria, a former chemistry and physics teacher, and a mother of four, who spends her time volunteering as a spokeswoman for the Islamic Council. In 2007 The Age chose her as one of Melbourne’s 100 most influential people. The forum begins at 6.45pm. Cost is $10.
