Just rock up for fun night

GROOVY children and their parents are urged to ‘rock up’ to Pakenham Hall on 3 April.
KidzRock, created by Geoff Woods and his wife Michelle, is back for another fun night of song, dance, and competitions.
The popular event is going into its 21st year, and has spanned 23 shires, proving to be a hit among young children and their parents.
Students from Prep to Grade 6 can carve up the dance floor, compete in the talent show with a chance of winning $500, or win a cash prize with the KidzRock cash wheel.
“We will also have activities for the parents,” Mr Woods said. “They can take part in Name That Tune or Celebrity Heads!”
Parents are welcomed to attend, free of charge.
Mr Woods said the children’s dance event played the latest, obscenity-free music and was supervised by a safety staff of up to nine adults.
The event follows the Yakkerboo Art Show this weekend, and precedes the Yakkerboo carnival and fireworks display on 25 April and street parade and craft market on 16 April.
Kids can also boogie the night away at Future KidzRock dances on 19 June, 11 September, and 4 December.
