LAKESIDE Lutheran College art students are celebrating after tasting success at Saturday’s Pakenham Show.
Their Asian-inspired piece won them the award for the show’s best art display.
Lakeside Lutheran College art teacher Renee Spencer said her pupils thoroughly enjoyed preparing their whole school entry with the theme “A Taste of Asia”.
“For nearly a month the Art Room was abuzz with excitement and creativity as the students explored oriental imagery and stories,” she said.
“Students throughout the grades worked timelessly on their pieces from blossom trees, fans, Chinese houses, a bamboo forest, pandas, fish, noodle dishes, and chopsticks to a dragon.”
