Sweet treat store

TASTE buds may get a sweet treat this Easter thanks to a Pakenham Business Group promotion.
The group is running a colouring contest, offering children a chance to win one of three chocolate hampers, arranged by Debbie Pratt at the Chocolate Shop.
Children aged six and under and seven to 12 can pick up and drop off Easter-themed pictures at the Chocolate Shop on Main Street.
Final products will be displayed in the shop window.
On Easter Saturday, residents are invited to the Lakeside shopping precinct, Heritage Springs Shopping Centre, and businesses on Main Street from 10am to 1pm, where the Pakenham Business Group will hand out Easter Eggs and offer face-painting.
“This is the first event held by the Pakenham Business Group’s promotions sub-committee. We also plan to have a promotion for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and hold People’s Choice Awards in July,” secretary Michelle Tones said. “We are hoping to create public awareness about Pakenham businesses and essentially make Pakenham a great place to live.”
Cardinia Shire CEO Garry McQuillan will address the PBG’s next meeting on 27 April at at a venue yet to be confirmed.
