CIVIC leaders set a record last week when they closed a special council meeting after just one minute.
The meeting was called to have the Pakenham Racing Club’s relocation referred to the Priority Development Panel.
Councillor Collin Ross said the meeting was lucky to click over the one-minute mark.
“It only went for more than a minute because (mayor) Bill (Pearson) had a coughing fit,” he said with a laugh.
