Fairytale start for opera group

AN Opera based on the fairytale The Three Billy Goats Gruff is coming to Kooweerup these school holidays.
The Opera School Melbourne, a new independent training organisation for aspiring opera singers, will perform at the Kooweerup Community Complex on Thursday 16 April and Friday 17 April.
Figatroll is a funny, engaging introduction to opera for primary school children, with appeal to audiences of all ages. Based on music by popular opera composer Gioacchino Rossini, the tunes are familiar from Bugs Bunny cartoons and TV advertisements.
Each performance begins at 10.30am at the community centre, Cochrane Park, Rossiter Road.
All tickets are $15. Family tickets for two adults and up to four children can be purchased for $60.
