PRIOR to the Easter break, there was only one sale at the Baw Baw Livestock Exchange, Warragul.
This was the Wednesday fat cattle sale where 218 head offered sold to mixed demand as 140 vealers of varying quality sold to a top price of 245.2 and averaged 177.1 cents.
Thirty seven steers made to 207.2 to average 165.5 and 14 heifers reached 212.2 and averaged 146.3.
Re-stockers made short work of the few light store calves yarded, with a pen of nine head at 151 kilograms selling for 215 cents per kilogram.
