ART teachers from secondary schools across west Gippsland will soon host their second exhibition.
Exhibition Red will be held at Gary Miles’ Gallery at Drouin West from 1 May to 17 May.
Art teachers from Trafalgar High, Neerim South Secondary, Warragul Regional College, Drouin Secondary, Chairo Christian School and St Paul’s Anglican Grammar will be among those to showcase their art works.
This year’s group consists of the following art teachers: Sandy Ward, Laurie Collins, Russell Handley, Ann Marks, Trish Naus, Kate Caish, Susanna Watterston, Kym Houeix, Rebecca Thomas, Nova Doherty, Mel Dessent, Sally Walk, Steve Wiegerink and Travis Wiltshire.
The exhibition aims to enable students, their families and the wider community to experience the diversity and skill of their art teachers.
Many of the art teachers work not only as educators but as successful art practitioners. Renowned artist Tony Hanning will open the exhibition on Friday 1 May at 6.30pm.
Music, wine and nibbles will be provided throughout the evening.
The exhibition can then be viewed on Saturday and Sundays until 17 May, between 11pm and 5pm.
