Wrestling warzone

By Lia Bichel
ACTION-packed, hard-hitting entertainment for the whole family will make a stop in Pakenham during the Pro-wrestling Warzone Returns tour.
Popular wrestler Krakerjak will meet his match in Damien Slater at Pakenham Town Hall on 22 May.
“It will be my first time meeting him, and I am going to smash him,” Krakerjak said.
Krakerjak has been wrestling professionally for 10 years, and has acquired signature moves such as the Bastard Lock, Spinal Tap, and the Britney Spears.
In his 10-year career, Krakerjak has suffered a series of injuries but said though wrestling was violent, it was also amusing.
“It’s physical and it’s real,” he said. “I have had concussions, broken bones, stitches, but it’s entertaining. It’s like superheroes; Spiderman meets martial arts.”
A special attraction match will feature up-and-coming Pakenham wrestler Matt Silva going head to head in his first major fight against Japan champion Nosawa.
“This match will make or break my career,” he said.
“If I win it could further my career. I want to eventually wrestle in Japan, America, Canada, all over the world.”
Matt Silva, who impresses audiences with his Silvadriver signature move, said he hoped his community would support him during the “sink or swim” match.
Doors for the alcohol-free event open at 7.15, and the show begins at 8. Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for kids. For tickets or more information phone 0404 573 238.
