PRIME Minister Kevin Rudd felt there was a conspiracy going on at Emerald Secondary College where he was twice pressed by 3MDR mouthpieces in a matter of minutes.
No more than 15 people of the 400-odd crowd got to press Mr Rudd during the public forum and two happened to be presenters from 97.1FM – not a coincidence according to the PM.
The first was Judy Ann Steed who asked Mr Rudd about solar panel rebates, but not before trying to set-up a date with Mr Rudd.
“I will invite you on when you have time,” she said.
To which the PM replied: “That might be a date.” However, Ms Steed claimed she had already asked him once before.
“Did I come on?” the PM asked.
About five minutes later, Mr Rudd plucked out another 3MDR presenter Peter Haddo from the crowd – much to his surprise.
“This is a conspiracy, I tell you – strategically placed,” he said.
