Rotary turns 48

TRIVIA was the theme of the Rotary Club of Berwick’s 48th birthday celebration.
More than 80 guests attended the trivia night on Thursday 7 May at the Tobin Brothers Expressions of Life Chapel in Berwick.
President Lynne Westland said the night was full of fun and festivities.
“We also recognised the only remaining charter member, Bill Minns, on the night,” she said.
Rotarian Sjaak Kusters and his wife Joy ran the trivia night, with questions covering general knowledge, sport and music.
Mr Kusters said the night was a hit.
“We all had a lot of fun and there was even some friendly controversy over some of the answers,” he said.
Mr Kusters said a “spit the dummy award” was presented to past president Jim Wilson for disputing several answers.
