CONNOR Steel in his 100th game for the Beaconsfield Junior Football Club was brilliant against a determined Lions outfit at Stoney Creek Road on Sunday. Since assuming the rucking role three weeks ago he has taken it all before him and is playing the best football of his junior career.
After an even first half with the scores locked together at both quarter and half-time, Narre South came out and slowly edged ahead in the second half to record a 16-point win.
Beaconsfield never gave up and played some impressive football with James Sloothaak back to his best, Michael Turner busy all day and Richard Manley and Tyler Morley showing plenty around the ground. Wil O’Gorman in his first game of football was good and both Aarons – Cauzzo and Petty – were impressive at opposite ends of the ground.

A BEAUTIFUL autumn day saw Beaconsfield get off to a great start, with Berwick fighting back in the second quarter. Beaconsfield showed good team spirit and controlled the second half with some strong overhead marking to put the game out of reach of the opposition.

THE team gave everything but Noble Park played great football and was too good. Beacy showed some good signs, its intensity and attack on the ball most encouraging. Jarryd Cock continues to find plenty of the ball while Spencer Pratt with his silky skills was a delight to watch. Josh Dalman in his first game for the season worked tirelessly.

BEACY was finally back at Stoney Creek Road against Officer. The game started in a tight battle with both teams having a red hot go. In the second quarter Officer took it up to Beacy and was often first to the ball.
After words from the coach, Beacy responded and started winning the hard ball, running in numbers and using the ball. In the last quarter Beacy slammed on six big goals for a well-deserved win.

BEACONSFIELD started the match against Endeavour Hills with tributes to Kristian Meade and Jonty Savage who played their 50th games.
The Eagles played the top team with guts and glory, taking out the Hills at the final siren by 33 points.
In a real team effort Cooper Sheppard and Brad La Roche once again stood tall, with Nick Steel playing one of his best for his final round for season 2009 to go travelling.
