PETER Wigney (Gazette, 20 May) makes a valid point. We need to protect working family’s jobs but he steers well clear of the facts to recognise the Brumby State Labor Government’s poor management, which Andrew McNabb highlighted.
Let’s touch on that matter again. Peter, can you explain what has happened to the $300 billion collected by the State Labor Government over the past 10 years?
Why are our hospitals, roads, public transport, police, schools and water supplies at crisis point? This year’s budget is to record a $31 billion deficit! Victorians have not seen debit level like this since the era of the Cain/Kirner Labor governments.
I am sure Victorians have not erased the horror memories of when Labor left office in ’92 and the disastrous financial mess it left behind.
All Victorians should be concerned with Labor’s budgets ,state and federally, the debit, spin and arrogance of the Labor Party is currently and will continue to impact terribly on working families for many years to come.

Pakenham.
