ROC v Beaconsfield
Saturday, 2.15pm at Starling Road
ROC: The Kangaroos play their home ground well and the run and carry produced by Greg and Ben Tivendale, together with super talented youngster Steve Hawkins and coach Kris Fletcher will be hard for the Eagles to stop.
Beaconsfield: Very few sides in this league boast the success and experience that Robbie Taylor, Chris Kelf, Glen Penglase, Luke McConnell, Daniel Mislicki and Kane Airdrie bring to the table.
ROC: The Kangaroos are on a serious learning curve and the gap between their best and worst is still big. Can they pull four quarters of football out of the bag this week?
Beaconsfield: Which Beacy side will turn up to play? The psychologist at the Perc Allison Oval is certainly earning his money this year.
ROC: If ever big Kym Jones is going to take a game by the scruff of the neck and win it – this is the one. A big performance against his old side would be a bonus.
Beaconsfield: It’s obvious, but Andrew Williams can, and regularly does, win games for Beaconsfield off his own boot. That’s on the cards again if he breaks free.
Man-for-man on paper and with regard to past success, current ladder position, depth of talent, potential, raw ability, likely match-ups and analysis of overall class, Beaconsfield looks far too good.
The tip is therefore for ROC to win by three goals!
