Beaconsfield travelled to Hampton Park for the second time in a month and despite going down previously to the Redbacks by 14 goals, there was some optimism in the ranks.
Hampton Park came out and dominated the first quarter to take a five-goal advantage into the first break.
Beaconsfield struck back in the second to reduce the margin to three goals at the main change, but that was as close as they got as Hampton Park turned it on again in the third quarter to lead by 49 points at three-quarter time.
The Beaconsfield boys didn’t drop their heads and won the last quarter but it was a case of too little too late.
