Pearcedale’s five flop

PEARCEDALE blew a chance to secure a top-five position with a disappointing 32-point loss to Frankston Bombers in Nepean League on Saturday.

Veteran forward Guy Stringer booted seven goals in Sorrento’s 112-point thrashing of strugglers Red Hill, while former AFL Tiger Mark Chaffey was best afield in Rye’s 22-point win over Hastings.

In Peninsula League, Bonbeach continued its giant-killing winning streak by downing 2008 grand finalists Edithvale-Aspendale by 25 points.
Nathan Tiberi booted five goals for the Sharks and former Melbourne big man Ben Holland finished with four.
Pines scored its second win of the year by six points, beating Langwarrin in a tense final term.
Dale Tedge and Adam Marriner were among the Pythons’ best players.
Karingal had an effortless 68-point result over Chelsea, while in other results, Mt Eliza bounced back to down top side Seaford by three points and Frankston YCW made a 95-point mess of Mornington.
