CARDINIA Shire mayor Bill Pearson reflected on his experiences as a councillor and a youngster when he gave Bunyip Primary School students a lesson on leadership.
Just over 50 students from Grades 5 and 6 were treated to a 45-minute pep talk from the Bunyip Ward councillor.
Grade 5-6 teacher Glenys Howard described Cr Pearson as inspiring.
“He talked about the qualities that make a good leader and his experiences as a leader,” she said.
“It was good because he aimed it at them and reflected upon his childhood experiences.”
The pep talk was the culmination of a leadership education program for school’s senior students.
