FAMILY and friends gathered at the Chapel of St Paul for the wedding of Carolyn McCauley and Lachlan Barnes.
The coupled were married on 24 March this year, at the Beaconhills College chapel, by Reverend Peggy Cruze.
Carolyn is the only daughter of Robin and June McCauley of Cora Lynn and Lachlan is the youngest son of Tom and Lyndell Barnes of Bayles.
Carolyn arrived at the ceremony in a horse and carriage wearing a pearl necklace that belonged to the groom’s grandmother. She wore an ivory satin dress, with a pale gold overlay and a long chain. The bodice featured crystal beading.
The maid of honour was her best friend Robyn Bray and the bridesmaid was friend Mary McMillian.
The bridesmaids wore elegant knee-length burgundy dresses and carried bouquets of white oriental lilies and red roses.
The best man was the groom’s brother Tom Barnes and the groomsman was the bride’s oldest brother Phillip McCauley.
The men wore dark charcoal suits with a pale grey pinstripe, accompanied by white shirts and burgundy ties.
The bridal party and guests later attended the reception, held at the Cardinia Cultural Centre.
The coupled enjoyed a honeymoon in New Zealand and have made Cora Lynn their home.
