Meeting, no meal

THE meeting of Berwick Senior Citicens on 26 June was well attended, although the cook being away with pneumonia didn’t permit the usual meal being made available.
Still, members showed their loyalty, and had a really enjoyable day. The usual list of winners of the various items has been mislaid this week, although we have the names of those who were successful at bingo. They were Jack Smith, Sheila Carter, Lorna Bird, Monica Miller, Ted Wells, Mary Sparkes, Audrey Appleyard, Ian Wollerman and Sheila Carter (again).
Members are reminded that the annual general meeting is to take place on Friday 17 July when it is hoped that a good muster of members will turn up to fill the vacancies. Inquiries to Lorna Bird on 9707 2618.
