AGRICULTURAL consultant Rudy de Jong is the 2009/10 Rotary Club of Kooweerup Lang Lang president.
Mr de Jong was installed as the club’s new president during a change over dinner at the Wings and Fins Restaurant Tooradin on Wednesday 24 June.
Members of the new board to work with him are secretary Richard Epskamp, treasurer Jan Kruizinga, president elect Andrew Walsh, directors of international and youth services Judy Walsh, community service Alan Laughton, vocational service John McDonell, and club service Bruce Thomas. Rudy said he was pleased to be club president and commended Gordon Sampson on his club leadership during the previous year.
“I was club secretary and found Gordon easy to work with.
“I congratulate him on his year and commend his ongoing support for further research into epilepsy.
“We will continue with that project.
“A great contribution has been made to our club by our partners and I think we sometimes take that for granted,” he said.
