SORTING out financial affairs can be tough, particularly for families in crisis.
But emergency relief provider 4Cs is making it easy for those families to get advice on budgeting, having recently recruited a professional financial planner to give them a helping hand.
Natalie Luiten volunteers at 4Cs each Friday morning, offering financial advice.
“A lot of people are under a bit of financial pressure at the moment and they’re looking for guidance with budgeting,” she said.
“It varies, what people are struggling with, but a lot of people need a budget to stick to.”
Ms Luiten has a diploma in financial planning and has been working at Hans Luiten Pakenham for five years.
She jumped at the opportunity to volunteer her time at 4Cs.
“I’ve always wanted to do volunteer work and the opportunity came up,” she said.
“It’s an area I know a lot about.” Ms Luiten is happy to talk with anyone struggling with their finances, regardless of whether they take her advice on board.
“Getting it off their chest is also a good thing,” she said.
“It’s worth it just to have a chat about it, whether they go ahead with it or not.”
People in crisis can call 4Cs on 5941 2268 to make an appointment with Ms Luiten.
For more information contact Natalie on 5940 2535.
