Match of the day at a glance

Saturday, 2.15pm at Edwin Flack Reserve

Berwick: The Wickers have quickly developed into one of the most even combinations in the competition and proved that they will not be intimidated by any opponent this year. Hard to push off the ball.

ROC: The Kangaroos rely on a simple game plan that revolves around getting the ball out to playmakers Greg Tivendale, Andrew Logan and Ben Tivendale. They do it regularly and well.

Berwick: After rising to the occasion last week, will the Wickers suffer a mental letdown against an opponent that they should handle with ease?

ROC: The Kangaroos have been inconsistent in their matches to date this year. Can they pull out four quarters of pressure football against a highly rated side?

Berwick: We have left him alone until now, but Jason Heath and the word ‘superstar’ look destined to be used in the same sentence very soon.

ROC: If he didn’t use up all his tickets against Devon Meadows a couple of weeks ago, watch out for the flying redhead ‘Bluey’ Graham exploding out of the goalsquare.

On paper the Wickers look to have all the bases covered, but there will be a little bit more to this game than meets the eye.
ROC coach Kris Fletcher is a former Berwick junior and his brother Cam still plays with the club, so he will have a fair idea about the way things are going at the Flack Reserve.
That said, class is class and Berwick simply has too much and should win with something in reserve.
