SURVEYS to gauge public support for a community bank in Pakenham Lakeside have been distributed to homes, businesses, community groups and sporting clubs.
The surveys are part of a feasibility study for the Lakeside Pakenham Community Bendigo Bank, and must be returned no later than 3 August. Chairman of the steering committee David Impey urged people to fill out the survey.
“In many ways the feasibility study step is the easiest of the process as residents just need to complete the survey and return it in the reply paid envelope,” he said.
“It doesn’t matter if you have pledged or not, completing the survey is critical in helping us get the bank up and running.”
Completed surveys can either be posted using the reply paid envelope or dropped in to Brumbies Bakery in Lakeside, or the Bendigo Bank Branch in Main Street, Pakenham.
